Kolachi Mehndi Co.

www.kolachimehndi.com

Kolachi Mehndi is a brand of Pure, Natural, Chemical-free™ henna, founded in 2018 with the desire to advocate safe body-art practice and revive the heritage of mehndi –– using henna as temporary body-art to mark occasions of celebration.

Kolachi Mehndi has been changing Pakistan’s market practice of using dangerous chemical cones adulterated with toxic artificial dyes that are hazardous for health by providing a natural alternative made with real henna in the form of an easy to use cone applicator with a fine tip and a dark stain. Kolachi Mehndi is now a widely recognized label that has propelled the formation of a natural henna industry in Pakistan by helping artists embark on their careers, improve their skills and highlight their work. Engaging with consumers via social media and introducing DIY henna stencil kits has helped elevate an age old religio-cultural tradition into an expressive art form able to tell stories and become a part of the global narrative.

Kolachi Mehndi Natural Henna Training program housed at vocational training institutes in Pakistan has been developed to support women in learning this art and skill which can empower them through financial independence.

ZeyrZabr

www.zeyrzabr.com

A creative consultancy founded in 2010, providing advertising services including brand concept and design, copywriting, marketing and strategy for commercial brands and cause-based non-profits.

Named after the accents that go above the line and below the line in Urdu script and provide nuanced meaning, ZeyrZabr used above-the-line and below-the-line advertising to leverage the power of communication design and advocate for meaningful causes.

Making profit from commercial brands to profit the cause-based meant that work could be as varied as launching dessert and pastry businesses, world-class fitness brands or matters of greater social weight such as creating a signature label for craft items by deaf artisans.

"I enjoy coming up with uncommon ways of making life meaningful. When I’m not thinking about the mind, the brain, quantum physics, and time travel– I am either consuming copious cups of chai (preferably in good company), reading fiction, creating marketing content, or making travel plans."
Fatin graduated with a Master’s from Columbia University in Spirituality, Mind, Body-Psychology in Education in 2022. In 2003, after graduating summa cum laude with an Associates in Merchandising from Rhode Island, Fatin had moved back to Pakistan. In 2007 she graduated with Distinction in Communication Design from Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture and started her career in advertising at Karachi’s illustrious boutique agency, The D’Hamidi Partnership, where she was responsible for iconic projects like Faysal Bank's brand identity refresh, launching MCB Privilege, and ICI Dulux's A Theme for Every Dream campaign. Fatin’s personal interest in the psychology of color led her to get trained as a certified Color Consultant by Pantone’s Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman. Many logos and campaigns later, she developed the course Brandvertising to introduce undergraduate students to various aspects of the advertising process. Being involved in academia helped Fatin realize her passion for education. By 2017, Fatin’s interest in Mind-Body Medicine had led her to research on various modalities of healing. This led her to multiple intensive trainings in Thailand in 2018-19 to get certified in Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga through the Institute of Inner Studies, Inc. Focusing on neuroscience during her time at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, Fatin began applying her experience in finding creative solutions to clarify complicated science and translate evidence into impact. Fatin has presented a paper at the International Conference for Spirituality and Psychology in 2023. She is also the author of a book on cultivating positivity and presence through creativity, which is currently being pitched to publishers.
Currently, Fatin is seeking collaborators for AHA! Projects by BrainSPACE.
